The APC Smart-UPS is designed for IT managers and network administrators who need uninterruptible power, data transfer, and business continuity during extended power outages. The 1500 VA line interactive UPS in a 2U tower form factor delivers true sine wave power to support mission-critical electronics during power outages. The SMX comes with an IEC 320 C14 inlet, 8 IEC 320 C13 receptacles, and 2 IEC patch cords. The UPS includes a SmartSlot for a Network Management Auxiliary Card that enables graceful shutdown of physical servers, virtual machines, and HCI clusters using PowerChute Network Shutdown. This uninterruptible power supply can connect to Ecostruxure IT or third-party centralized management platforms. The SMX is backed by a 3-year warranty and a 2-year warranty on the internal lead-acid battery. This unit is compatible with a dedicated user-replaceable battery, and the APC Replacement Battery Cartridge helps restore the UPS to its original specifications. The Smart-UPS comes with a pair of support legs and rack-mount brackets. 3 groups of switchable outlets provide more granular control over the power supplied to the units. The Emergency Power Off feature allows the UPS to be shut down remotely in emergency situations.
